While chatting with my sis, she gave me her fool proof cheese cake recipe. so i am goin to try the recipe soon!
Ingredients
For the crust:
* Graham wafer crumbs (1 1/3 cups)
* Butter-melted (1/3 cup
* Sugar (1/4 cup)
For the filling:
* Cream cheese-softened (2 packages -8 oz. each)
* Eggs (3)
* Sweetened condensed milk (1 can-300ml)
* Lemon juice (1/4 cup)
Graham wafer crumb can be replace by digestive biscuit...
Preparation
For the crust:
You need to combine the butter; sugar and the graham wafer crumbs and press this into the bottom of a springfoam pan.
Baked this in preheated oven for 12 minutes at 163 degree C
Take it out and cooled fully (not in fridge) (by fan
For the filling:
Take a large mixer bowl and beat the cream cheese in this until it becomes fluffy. Once done, add the sweetened condensed milk. Beat the mixture till it smoothens. Now, add the eggs and the lemon juice. Mix this together. Pour this combination over the cooled crust.
Time to bake this combination! Bake it for at least 58 minutes at 149 degrees C.
Once done, leave in in oven (off) and open the door ajar.
Leave till oven cooled.
Let it cool down to the room temperature sitting on a wire rack. Can put a big bowl over the cheesecake to slower down the cooling for 1st hour. Subsequent 2 hour cool to room temp.
You need to chill it at least 5 hours before serving. Garnishing can be done as per your desire.
Jam Topping:
Put 4 heap tablespoon jam with a little water and add some lemon juice to taste. Heat in a pot till spreadable. Spread on cooled cake.
This cake can be frozen (cut in slices first) if cant finish
So this is great... i have tried defrost in fridge the whole day... it still taste great

Banana Split
Having fun making banana split
Ingredients: Banana, Whipped Cream, Ice Cream, Strawberry, Hersey's Chocolate syrup.Utensils: Curve bowl (to support the banana), Ice Cream Scoop
Making and eating my 1st banana split!! In this picture i use the King's Macadamia ice cream. First time use whipped cream so it look a bit shapeless.I have always wanted to eat banana split. But sadly till now i didnt get the chance to eat. Mainly because its so expensive eating from ice cream shop for something so easy to make. So i google the banana split picture and decide to make one myself.
Bought most of the items from cold storage. One thing about cold storage items in JB is that you must check the expire date of every food that you bought. One of the whipped cream has expired in March but they are still selling. Most of their whipped cream will expire on April and May. Took some time to dig their refrigerated display case. I probably look a bit mad to others as the metal cans keep clanking with each other when i dug. Wanted to buy cherry's for garnishing as it look really nice in the google picture. But its very expensive. RM11 for a very small bottel. So i replace it with Strawberry since i dont eat cherry anyway.
Price break down:
Cold storage/JB
King Grand Macadamia Ice Cream: RM8.49
Strawberry from Cameron Highland/Malaysia (about 200g): RM7.99
Hershey's Chocolate Syrup: RM11.99
GSBS Whipped Light Cream: RM14.99
Metrojaya/JB
Ice cream scoop: RM21.90. After discount RM17.52
Total RM60.98
Hem..quiet expensive to make a banana split from scratch. But the bright side is that I can make a lot of banana split out of my purchase.
Its really fun making the banana split.Put 3 scoop in a bowl. Just cut the banana into half. Line the bowl with banana. Put some chocolate syrup on each ice cream. Spray the whipped cream on each ice cream. Put some chocolate sprinkle if any. First time i use whipped cream. I notice that it melt very easily. After snapping some picture, the whipped cream starting goin out of shape
Will try with different ice cream and post if i make anymore. Will buy chocolate sprinkle to add into the mixture.

Baskin-Robbins 31% off on every 31st of the month
I confess that i have a sweet tooth for ice cream/cakes/chocolate and cheese. So i was really delighted when i surf the City Square/JB website a few days ago and I realize that the CS baskin robbins has 31% off for every 31st for handpacked ice cream. Previously when they first open they did not participate in this promo. Today i purposely go to CS to buy their ice cream - which shows how nuts I am bout their ice cream. The chap who serve me is very friendly and nice (as compare to my experience in Genting...shudder....)I bought their 2 Quart size for RM66.65 after 31% discount (NP:RM92). For your information Pint size is 350gram/Quart size is 700gram/Half gallon is 1385gram.
First time i bought so much BR in one shot. I was rather lost as to what flavor I wanted to buy. To me eating a small cup and eating a whole tube is different in the sense that if the taste does not suit you, it will be challenging to finish them up. The nice chap recommend that I mix up the flavor but I was a little worried if the combination is wrong and I can only taste one type of ice cream. This is speaking from experience when i combine green tea/coffee and mango. Needless to say I was a little apprehensive.
Ist pack Caramel Chocolate Crunch + Chocolate Chip

2nd pack Mango Tango/Citrus Twist Ice -Sorbets/Love Potions.
Have just tried the 1st pack. The taste are great! They have a combination taste of Vanilla/Chocolate + Chocolate Chip/Caramel and Chocolate Nut. There is a sudden burst of flavor as I couldn't really taste the 2 flavor apart. The BR ppl who prepare my ice cream didn't separate both ice cream at all. He just sort of squash both ice cream together. The other BR ppl is nicer as he really separate the 3 taste from each other. And he is really friendly and you can feel his sincerity.For the combo Caramel Chocolate Crunch + Chocolate Chip, I give it 8.5 over 10 and will definitely try again.
And looks like the promo does not stop there. They have another promo from April 1-5May 2010:Buy 2 Handpacked Quarts and free 1 Pint / Buy RM15 above entitle to buy single jr scoop for 31 cent.
If i compare the 31% off Handpacked with above Handpacked promo, the 31% promo is cheaper.
Price of 2 Quart and a pint: RM117.50-31% = 81.08+5%=RM85.10
Price of Buy 2 Quart free 1 pint = RM92+5%=RM96.60
One thing that i find inconsistent with them is that in Genting I can use the WorldCard Points (Genting member card) to redeem a 31% off ice cream for every 31st last year. But when i tried redeeming in City Square, they mention that I cant redeem as its already promotion. I disagree with this statement as the Genting WorldCard points should be treated the same as cash (1000 points = RM10). And another point is that they will not let me collect points. In Genting we can collect points although there is a promotion (Actually i always eat BR in Genting). If BR or Genting is reading this I hope this can be straighten out and more awareness about this issue. After all BR has agreed to participate as Genting Member. Therefore a standard procedure should be executed.

NUTRILITE Protein Drink Mix Green Tea Flavour (450g)
My first attempt. I pour less than 400ml and 2 spoon of the powder. It look rather watery. Had a misunderstanding that when i bought this it can "replace a meal". I wanted to go on a diet so when i bought this it can make me feel full and i wont feel hungry. But when i tried this I was rather hungry and the hunger become worst. So looks like I was wrong in thinking it can replace a meal. The taste is like green tea minus the sugar and hot water. As it is protein must not use hot water else the protein will "die". What i worried about protein is that it can either make a person fat or thin (correct me if i were wrong).. i was afraid that my appetite will increase as I drank this and become fat~!
I was told that if i wanted to go on diet, I should try POSITRIM Dutch Cocoa, 14 packets/box instead. According to the website it says that its a Meal Replacement Supplements. It will be interesting to try this for its effectiveness one day. They have another 2 other flavours: Vanilla and Cofee. In addition I can also mix the 2 spoon of protein with Positrim. The description are below:
* This is a nutritionally sound meal for weight control consisting of flavoured nonfat milk powder sweeteened with fructose that provides a healthful balance of carbohydrates, high-quality protein and fat.
* It contains 12 essential vitamins, 12 minerals, 7g protein, and 3g of dietary fibre per packet. Conveniently packaged in sealed sachets, it provides a quick breakfast or lunch, which is particularly important if you have to go to work or travel or in a hurry.
* Cutting calories often means cutting important nutrition. It is hard to get all the nutrition you need if you are skipping meals, eating smaller portions, or only particular foods. The Positrim Dutch Cocoa takes the guesswork out of eating right. And its great taste makes controlling weight easier and more enjoyable
* Suggested Use : Add contents of packet into a 250ml glass of cold skimmed, whole or reconstituted powdered milk. Stir until completely dissolved.
It looks like green powder inside with nice green tea smell. It really remind me of the green tea ice cream at jusco
NUTRILITE Protein now comes in a new flavour while still retaining all the essential benefits of soy protein. One serving not only provides you with 8 grams of soy protein, a balanced amount of essential and non-essential amino acids, and the nutritional benefits of calcium and soy isoflavones, it gives you all these nutrients with the added crisp, fresh flavour of green tea.If you have always looked to NUTRILITE Protein for a natural, easily digestible and convenient source of protein without cholesterol and only a minimum content of fat, now you can look to it for a more flavourful one, too.
